YAY! Trees are in full color here in Raleigh. Fall foliage is my favorite part of fall….aside from the crisp weather, sweaters, pumpkin carving, and pumpkin pie!
A friend of mine purchased a new camera and wanted to test it out. I was the luck one who got to model for her! We ventured to Lake Crabtree Park for some fun fall photos. These are just a few of the photos she took. There are some others that I think I’ll add to my About page.
Because I’ve lived in Virginia most of my life, I’m use to seeing peak foliage mid-October. Seems like Raleigh hits peak foliage a few weeks later. We saw some color on our trip to Linville Gorge a few weekends ago, but nothing like it is right now! Here are some photos of the color in Raleigh:
There are a LOT of golds and yellows. We don’t have any bright reds in our neighborhood, but we’ve seen a few bright red trees in other neighborhoods. North Carolina has a lot of Pine trees, so there’s still a lot of green.
I don’t like when there are no leaves on the trees. If they’re going to be bare, then they should be covered in snow. Although, I don’t think we’ll get much — if any — snow in Raleigh.
Cheers to a few more weeks of fall!
